This year’s Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (MITT) has grown by more than 13% in the number of international exhibitors. Ministers from Croatia, Malta and San Marino were in attendance at the official opening ceremony.

World Travel Awards (WTA), the “Oscars of the travel industry”, has unveiled plans to host its South & Central America Gala Ceremony in the historic city of Quito, Ecuador on August 9th 2014.

The event will be bringing together 50 local restaurants, wineries and beer and spirit companies at its tasting pavilion, joined by some of the best culinary talent from within the Caribbean and without.

Countries from across the wider Caribbean region descended upon Miami Beach, Fla. this week for the annual Cruise Shipping Miami conference. From small-port islands to larger, more established cruise hubs, the Caribbean was well represented, with a large contingent at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

The annual gathering usually draws around 11,000 attendees, but UBM, owner and organizer of Cruise Shipping Miami, anticipates a jump of more than 30 percent in visitors and delegates to the three-day exhibition and four-day conference.

In its second year, World ATM Congress has exceeded its inaugural show by more than 1,000 attendees - totaling 6,265 attendee registrations by show's end. The conference and exhibition is the largest global platform discussing the future of air traffic management (ATM).
