
The Americas Summit of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) will unite for the first time travel and tourism leaders from across the Western Hemisphere in Mexico's Riviera Maya next month. From May 16-18, 2012, key industry identities from the public and private sectors, NGOs and the media will convene.

Trinidad and Tobago will host the next Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) conference on Sustainable Tourism Development in 2013, the CTO has announced. The CTO will begin discussions soon with Port of Spain around a suitable conference date.
At the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) 12th Global Summit in Tokyo, three companies and one destination from four continents were recognized for their best practices in sustainable tourism as winners of the Tourism for Tomorrow awards. The four winners were selected from 12 award finalists and announced onstage during the opening ceremony of Global Summit.
