Barbados unveiled a new festival lineup that includes Sir Garfield Sobers Festival of Golf (April 23 to 25).
Strategic heritage tourism planning will be the focus of the opening general session of this year’s leading Caribbean gathering on sustainable tourism. A panel of experts will examine the subject and make recommendations to delegates attending the 11th Annual Caribbean Conference on Sustainable Tourism, otherwise known as the Sustainable Tourism Conference (STC-11).
Dominican Republic will host the 1st global thematic conference on Tourism Clusters of The Competitiveness Institute (TCI), which is being organized by National Competitiveness Council (CNC) and will be held from the 7th to 10th of April at the Barcelo Convention Center, in Bavaro.
From May 12 to 15, 2010, Panama will host The Americas Luxury Travel Expo (TALTExpo), a fair targeting upscale travel and tourism that will gather buyers and suppliers from all around the world related to this major market sector. This major event will take place in Panama City with a view to hold it on a yearly basis.
Expectations are running high in anticipation of this year’s Annual Sustainable Tourism Development Conference (STC) to be held in Barbados from May 9th to 12th.
St Maarten, St Kitts and Jamaica are the leading countries that are able to comfortably host major conferences within the region, according to Ackroyd Birmingham, treasurer of the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions and Conference Chairman.
