Keeping up with every hotel opening can be a difficult chore. Luckily, Travel Agent did the hard work and rounded up five beach hotels to take note of when traveling in the coming year.

The Ocean Riviera Paradise by H10 Hotels has opened in Mexico. The hotel is a newly built five-star resort located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, just six kilometers from Playa del Carmen.

The multi-resort complex, Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort features two adjacent hotels – 589-room, adults-only Barceló Bávaro Beach and the 1,402-room, family-friendly Barceló Bávaro Palace.

The Maya Beach Hotel and Bistro in Belize has expanded with the addition of three new suites.

The $230 million hotel project, which is slated for a debut at the end of 2018, will have 140 rooms and will generate 400 permanent jobs.

Residential resort investor Dolphin Capital Investors has entered an agreement to sell the 2,200-acre Playa Grande Golf and Resort Project, including the Amanera resort, to Third Point LLC.
