The long-awaited redevelopment of Canouan Island in the Grenadines will launch Oct. 10 with the debut of the 26-suite, six-villa Pink Sands Club, Canouan.

BlueBay Hotels plans to increase its offerings by almost 50 percent in the next two years and have more than 60 hotels in 30 different locations, and over 50,000 rooms by 2020.

Under new ownership, the 26-suite, six-villa hotel will set a new benchmark for a Caribbean archipelago already synonymous with ultra-exclusive hideaways.

Luxury villa brand Ani Villas is expanding to the Dominican Republic. The new Ani Villas Dominican Republic is a fully-staffed and serviced 14-bedroom estate on the central northern coast of the country.

The Majestic Hotel Group has announced the opening of Midmost Hotel Barcelona. Midmost is centrally positioned in the city’s “Golden Triangle,” between Plaza Catalunya and Plaza Universitat.

The 228-room, all-inclusive Royalton Blue Waters will open Oct. 15, adjacent to the Royalton White Sands near Montego Bay.
