As a new part of the Curio Collection, the property underwent a full refurbishment to upgrade the property to incorporate modern luxuries.

The AC brand is Marriott’s design-focused marque; it was first founded by hotelier Antonio Catalan in 1998; there are now more than 90 AC Hotels properties around the world.

Elite acquired the property last February, and it was rebranded as Pineapple Beach Club Antigua on June 1.

Under the "Sugar Cane Project," Karisma plans to build 10 hotels over 10 years, with a total of 5,000 rooms. Direct employment will be created for 10,000 Jamaicans.

YOO Hotels & Resorts is launching the group’s first property under the cool, social, urban Yoo2 brand in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The one-bedroom villas include two decks, an elevated pool directly accessible from the bedroom, an outdoor shower, a barbecue and a hammock sofa.
