Caribbean hotel occupancy continues to climb, according to the latest monthly report from STR Inc. The region’s hotel occupancy stood at 79.4 percent in March, up 1.3 percent from the same month in 2014.

 
 
 

Hilton at Resorts World Bimini has officially opened its first phase, the company said Thursday. The hotel is located at Genting’s Bimini property, which includes a 10,000-square-foot casino that opened in 2013.

Sandals Resorts has created packages that enable guests to split their all-inclusive vacation at two resorts on two different islands. Prices include air from seven U.S. gateways and air travel between resorts.

The first-ever TRYP By Wyndham hotel has opened in Mexico. The new property, which is located just a few steps from the World Trade Center in Mexico City, is the brand’s 20th hotel in the wider region. Wyndham has 120 TRYP properties around the world.

A Curacao-based company has announced plans to open a 177-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel in 2017. CMC Real Estate N.V. will develop the hotel, the company said in a statement, as part of a mixed-use development featuring condominiums, retail space, an entertainment area, three restaurants and a casino.
