At the completion of 2014, AMResorts’ portfolio in Mexico will include 39 resorts in 15 destinations. First up will be the Dreams Sands Cancun, which will open in September with 441 rooms.

AMResorts has signed a deal with Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa to add the resort to the company's Mexico portfolio.

The deal reflects a strong relationship between Apple Leisure Group and Oasis, aimed at continued growth and additional partnership opportunities. This will be the 12th property for the award-winning Dreams® Resorts & Spas brand, and marks another chapter in the rapid expansion of AMResorts’ portfolio, which has grown by 20 percent in the past year alone.

Melia Hotels International (MHI) remains on the innovation path by adding a new safety auditing system in three of its 26 hotels in Cuba. The E-Cristal system of Cristal International Standards will help maintain optimal accommodation standards.
