Riu Hotels & Resorts has purchased the 252-room Radisson Blu St. Martin for $45 million. The resort, located in Anse Marcel on the French side of the Dutch-French island, will be renamed the Riu Palace St. Martin on June 1.

Two investment groups announced plans Monday to invest a combined total of more than $460 million in separate acquisitions that will significantly strengthen Puerto Rico’s status as a high-end luxury resort destination.
