The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association is going ahead with their annual conference set to take in Puerto Rico next year.

Under the realignment, Henry Charles Fernandez, formerly the minister of foreign affairs, international trade and immigration assumes the post of minister of tourism, foreign affairs and immigration.

In a year in which the Excelencias Group celebrates its 20th anniversary in Cuba, the company had the honor of presenting its vast array of products and services within the framework of the Havana International Fair.

“Corporate America is very, very interested in Cuba and many businesspeople are disappointed that after all the headway that was made, after all the money they have invested, now all of a sudden Cuba is off limits again."

Secretary-General of the Barbados-based Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), Hugh Riley, said that the regional tourism sector in 2017 can be described as a “tale of two situations”.

Antigua & Barbuda’s tourism minister was relieved of his duties this week by Gaston Browne, the country’s prime minister, following the former’s arrest in London.
