
The Holy Metropolitan Basilica, Cathedral and Church of Santiago de Cuba is undergoing a major restoration within the group of actions being carried out to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the foundation of that village. The restoration works on the main dome began a year ago and the workers are now using sheets of copper to cover it.
The Fire Volcano in southern Guatemala exploded incandescent rock and ash over surrounding towns Saturday. Authorities had not order evacuations so far. La Aurora International Airport of Guatemala city is closed, according to tweets received by eTN.

Music listeners often can hear cornet and conga player Alex Weiss and members of his group Different Drum playing in schools, community centers, and local clubs and festivals.
