Caribbean News Digital sat down with Maria Badakh, the most authorized voice when it comes to Russia’s number-one travel and tourism fair: MITT. In this exclusive interview, she sheds light on the Russian market, on how the country is becoming available.

We had the opportunity to talk to Mr. Carlos Vogeler during the recently-finished EUROAL show in Torremolinos, Madrid, and his first words referred to the America’s new tourism scenario after the resumption of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States, a matter that has brought about interest and concern among the Caribbean islands that highly depend on US tourism to maintain their economies.

Cuba’s Vice Minister of Tourism, Luis Miguel Diaz Sanchez, talked Monday afternoon with Caribbean News Digital, within the framework of the Hemingway Billfishing Tournament that officially opened at the Havana marina named after the Nobel Prize-winning U.S. author. 

The island of Guam, a little spot in the huge Pacific Ocean, combines natural exoticism, thousand-year-old traditions and other unique identity signs, but it stood out during the recent edition of Moscow’s MITT as the only US territory attending such important trade show at the Russian capital.

The company has been operating in Russia for eight years. Olga Gutierrez, the group’s general manager, sat down with Caribbean News Digital’s editor-in-chief and CEO of the Excelencias Group, Jose Carlos de Santiago, during the MITT 2016 fair recently held in Moscow.

In an exclusive interview with Caribbean News Digital within the framework of the tourism tradeshow held recently in the Russian capital, Mr. Carreño –who studied in the former Soviet Union back in the 1980s and speaks fluent Russian- talked about the company’s plans to pry into the Russian market.
