Five months after Irma levelled homes and left residents in search of food, water and electricity, the split Caribbean island nations of Saint Martin and Sint Maarten are each on a path to recovery with signs of hope for travelers eager to visit.

A record-breaking 7.9 million tourists traveled to Palm Beach County last year, a milestone that shattered 2016’s all-time high and marked the ninth consecutive year of growth for the local tourism industry.
