World Travel Market 2013 saw the confirmation of a number of business deals on the exhibition floor on the largest day of responsible tourism action in the world - World Responsible Tourism Day took place.

Day four of World Travel Market -the leading global event for the travel industry- opened with another packed Speed Networking Session with hundreds of buyers and sellers keen to meet and discuss business deals. Another well-attended session was the Future You conference for travel and tourism students.

World Travel Market Best Stand Awards were judged by an expert panel. Catalonia (EM1640) won the award for best stand design, thanks to its eco-friendly, carbon-neutral approach, and the way its green message reflected the region and its ambitions.

Trinidad and Tobago on day one of World Travel Market 2013 showcased why the twin-island republic gives visitors two islands and two unique experiences. Visitors to World Travel Market (WTM) held in London’s Excel Centre from November 4 to 7, were given a double dose of what it means to be a visitor to both Trinidad and Tobago.

The Caribbean Tourism Organization has today launched a new training course to help agents become Caribbean Travel Gurus. The CTO has launched its first online training program having previously offered a paper-based equivalent.

The second day of World Travel Market 2013 (Tuesday 5 November) was well attended, with the WTM & UNWTO Ministers’ Summit the highlight of an impressive lineup of events, seminars and presentations.
