
China will be the focal point of the annual BRICS events at World Travel Market 2012, as the country becomes one of the biggest inbound and outbound tourism markets. Two China Business Network sessions appraising the tourism industry in the country will be held on Tuesday November 6th, starting with a talk on inbound tourism which has grown to make the country the world’s fourth biggest market for foreign tourists.

The WRDSS in Abu Dhabi on Sunday 30 September to 1 October will reinforce itself as the global thought-leadership platform for airlines, airports, governments, network planning, travel and tourism, air cargo, and economic development authorities and will provide the perfect platform for facilitates networking and learning.

World Travel Market 2012, the leading global event for the travel industry, will generate more than £450 million for exhibitors from the Americas, including £265 million for North American exhibitors. WTM's Americas regions cover North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

On Monday November 7, the UK Chapter of the CTO welcomed over 40 media to the fourth pan-Caribbean media awards event at the renowned West Indian restaurant ‘Caribbean Scene’ in London’s Royal Victoria Dock.

World Travel Market had a total of 183 new exhibitors at the event for WTM 2011. National tourist boards, destination management companies, technology companies, ground handlers, lodge owners and tour operators all hosted their own stands for the first time.
