In the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) has extended its unwavering support to the affected communities, particularly in islands such as Carriacou, Petite Martinique, and others in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. President Nicola Madden-Greig expressed deep concern for those hardest hit and affirmed the association's commitment to relief efforts.

"We stand in solidarity with the communities affected by Hurricane Beryl, and we are actively collaborating with our National Hotel and Tourism Associations in Grenada and St. Vincent to provide essential support," Madden-Greig stated. Emphasizing the resilience of the Caribbean's tourism industry, Madden-Greig highlighted the region's readiness to recover swiftly from crises through effective public-private partnerships.

Despite challenges, Madden-Greig noted that many destinations in the Eastern Caribbean have resumed operations, underscoring the region's preparedness and determination. "The Caribbean has consistently demonstrated its ability to overcome adversities. We remain steadfast in safeguarding lives and livelihoods, ensuring our communities are secure and our economies robust," Madden-Greig affirmed.

Encouraging travel to unaffected areas, Madden-Greig pointed out that most Caribbean destinations remain open and ready to welcome visitors. "Traveling to the Caribbean not only supports our tourism industry but also contributes directly to the recovery of affected areas," he urged.

CHTA invites individuals, businesses, and organizations to contribute to hurricane relief efforts through tax-deductible donations at www.chtaef.com. Madden-Greig concluded, "While some areas may be temporarily affected, we are resilient people, and we will recover. Together, we can rebuild and strengthen our beloved Caribbean."
