Anguilla Welcomes Tourists with Open Arms and a New Fee

Anguilla has added a hefty visitor fee to its entry requirements that will go towards the costs of additional Covid-19 testing and protocols, as reported by Travel Weekly.

The island will levy a fee of $1,000 for individuals or business travelers staying on the island for three months or less, and $1,500 for a family of four.

The fees include "costs related to testing for visitors, additional health staff, surveillance and security for the ports and accommodations where guests will quarantine," Anguilla said.

For stays up to 12 months, the fees are $2,000 and $3,000, respectively, and include the costs of a digital work permit.

Visitors can now apply for entry to Anguilla for visits through Oct. 31; applications will be taken starting at the end of September for visits from Nov. 1 and beyond.

Arrivals from high-risk countries, including the U.S., must quarantine for 14 days at their resort or villa upon arrival. Details and application forms for entry are available at www.ivisitanguilla.com.
