Dunas Travel's Female Workforce in Egypt Tourism Reaches 60%

After several recognition as the main incoming company of tourism in Spain and Latin America, Dunas Travel has expanded the workforce with special welcome of women who have achieved a special preparation within the sector.

Considering that the tourism sector is one of the main employers in the world, according to the reports of the International Labor Organization of the United Nations, Dunas Travel has always valued equality for its staff of men and women, without any kind of discrimination in the jobs.

Attia Yamani, managing director of Dunas Travel emphasizes "We have taken into account the value that women bring to us in their preparation and professional curriculum in tourism, in consideration of the new jobs and now women already occupy 70% of the staff, with equal pay. We value in the same way the reconciliation of work and family life together with health and safety at work." 

New technologies within the tourism sector, have helped to offer opportunities in the tourism labor market and in this sense, Dunas Travel has taken into account gender equality plans with adaptation of schedules and improvement of jobs. Women's education, training and skills are valued.

According to Attia Yamani, "At Dunas Travel we have women in positions of responsibility in the reservation, accounting and guide departments who are very well accepted by tourists, which shows us a good image of the company within the tourism sector".

All the measures taken by Dunas Travel with the increase in the number of male and female workers have been aimed at promoting plans for effective equality between men and women, with the intention of eliminating any barriers based on gender and have been adopted on a voluntary basis.
