Arajet Adds New Flights to New York for Dominican Day Parade

Dominican airline Arajet has announced increased service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo, with two daily flights scheduled for December and January to meet high holiday demand.
The announcement was made by Víctor Pacheco, Arajet’s CEO and founder, during the Dominican Day Parade in New York City. Pacheco emphasized the airline’s commitment to the Dominican diaspora, saying the extra flights would give travelers “more opportunities to fly at the best price and spend the Christmas holidays with family back home.”
The New York/Newark route has quickly become Arajet’s most successful, carrying over 16,800 passengers in just seven weeks of operation — even with only one daily flight. Pacheco noted that this strong performance helped make July 2025 the best month in the airline’s history, with more than 140,000 passengers transported.
Arajet is also expanding its U.S. footprint this fall with new routes to Boston, Chicago, and Orlando, while continuing to strengthen its Latin American network with new flights linking Córdoba–Punta Cana and Buenos Aires–Santo Domingo.
During the parade, Arajet participated with a LED-screen truck showcasing the attractions of the Dominican Republic and the airline’s latest offers, further reinforcing its growing presence in the U.S. market.
