Special Recognition in Havana for the President of Grupo Excelencias

On the past Friday, October 20, the Aula Magna of the College of San Gerónimo in Havana hosted the presentation of the Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra Awards in the presence of the Ambassador of Spain in Cuba, His Excellency Mr. Ángel Martín Peccis.

The award, which is annually given to prominent figures in various fields of society, was granted on this occasion to: María Felicidad Amat Sabaleta, Manuela Miriam Castro Díaz, Alejandro Gisper Galindo, Joel Cordoví Núñez, and Javier Sotomayor Sanabria.

The occasion was also an opportunity to present a special recognition to Mr. José Carlos de Santiago, President of Grupo Excelencias, for his outstanding work as a manager, academic, and promoter of Ibero-American cuisine.
