Cuba to Attend Major Travel Fair in France

On September 23 - 26, Cuba will be attending the 36th edition of IFTM Top Resa, in Paris, France.
The Cuban presence in this event aims at strengthening ties between our tourism activity and the French collaborators, giving tour operators up-to-date information on brand-new elements for the winter season, establishing negotiation and fostering destinations that attract this market, such as: Cuban heritage cities that have celebrated their 500th anniversary, places with well-marked French influence, destinations in the central and eastern regions of the country, as well as resorts in Varadero, Cayo Santa María, Jardines del Rey and Holguín.
Another line of work includes the gaining of new specialized agencies, as well as activities related to MICE and student segments.
The Cuban delegation is going to be headed by María del Carmen Orellana, MINTUR’s Market Director, and made up of Havanatur International Group of Tour Operators and its representation in France, inbound agencies: Cubatur, Viajes Cubanacán, San Cristóbal, Gaviota Tours and Amistur; hotel chains Gran Caribe, Cubanacán, Habaguanex and Gaviota, NH Capri and associates Meliá Hotels International, Accor, Barceló, Iberostar, Pestana, Roc Hotels and Blue Diamond.
Cuba’s booth will be spruced up by following the line of Auténtica Cuba Campaign. France is one of the utmost outbound markets for the island, and the recently-held 2014 FITCUBA, the International Tourism Show, was dedicated to that country.
