Tropical Storm Nicole Forms in Atlantic Ocean

Tropical Storm Nicole formed Tuesday in the Atlantic Ocean, but it does not pose a threat to land.
The National Hurricane Center said the storm was located at 11 a.m. Tuesday about 525 miles northeast of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The storm is traveling northwest at 8 mph with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph. There are no coastal watches or warning in effect.
