The Orden del Camino de Santiago Held a Session over the Santarder Way
Distinctions and Commemorative Medals that celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Casa de Galicia in Cantabria were doled out
The day kicked off with a reception by the Mayor of Santander, accompanied by the Councillor for Tourism, the Directors of the Casa de Galicia and the Order. The Mayoress received a Medal of the Order and presented a replica of the Palacio de la Magdalena.
In the lecture section, the subjects "Santiago in Cantabria" and "The Way of Saint James, European Cultural Route" were dealt with.
The day came to a close with the delivery of distinctions to the House of Galicia and to pilgrims who have walked the way more than once. Commemorative Medals were also awarded to knights and personalities of Cantabria.
The performance of the Group of Bagpipes and a Galician wine put an end to an event in which 125 people attended.
