2015 CNEA Scientific Symposium in Santiago de Cuba

Nearly 100 people are going to attend the 2015 CNEA Scientific Symposium, 30 of which are foreigners and they will be ratifying here, within the framework of the 6th Conference on Applied Electromagnetism CNEA 2015, the scientific results of applying electromagnetism; with special impact on agriculture, medicine, engineering systems and the environment.

The event is going to be held in early May at the National Center of Applied Electromagnetism (CNEA is the Spanish acronym), with the attendance of delegates from Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador and the United States, although specialists from other nations have said to be interested in participating.
According to Yadira Argota Perez, Promotion and Communication Specialist with the Center, the meeting will provide a space for scientific exchange, networking and the involvement of new professionals in this field of knowledge.
Two internationally acclaimed lecturers are going to attend the event: Dr. Alfredo Odon Rodriguez, tutor of several postgraduate programs on medical physics and biomedical engineering in Mexico, and Dr. James C. Lin, emeritus professor at the Illinois University, in Chicago. Dr. Sc. Clara Martinez Manrique is scheduled to give a lecture entitled: Watery Systems Magnetically Treated for Healthcare, Science or Pseudoscience.
Furthermore, the 5th Forum on Science Communication is going to be carried out, an initiative that stands for increasing the generalization of scientific-technical results by means of the communication and its different tools, such as the New Information Technologies.
The work schedule also includes the participation of Belgium professor Dr. Sc. Hichem Sahli, who is going to give a master lecture and announce the 1st Postgraduate Course on Science Communication for researchers, journalists, communicators and specialists related to sciences.
The program’s main topics are the use of electromagnetism in the industry, agriculture, biotechnology and medicine, as well as its compatibility with metrology.
The sixth edition of the Conference on Applied Electromagnetism is a space to share the investigative results with both the Cuban and Latin American societies in an effort to achieve sustainable development.
