All Space Booked by 11,098 Exhibiting Companies from 187 Countries for ITB Berlin 2009
ITB Berlin, which is taking place for the 43rd time from today to March 15, has been fully booked since February and reports that exhibitor numbers have remained stable at last year’s level.
A total of 11,098 exhibiting companies (11,147 in 2008) from 187 countries will take 26 halls, arranged on a geographical basis and according to the particular section of the tourism industry that they represent.
At a time when budgets are tighter, ITB Berlin demonstrates its strategic competitive advantages to the full with a range that has no equals anywhere. The well-balanced, international array of exhibitors represents the entire value-added chain of this industry.
ITB Berlin is where exhibitors and trade visitors can obtain an extremely varied picture of the current state of the international travel industry without having to walk long distances.
The presence of some 120 ministers of tourism from around the world ensures close contacts with politicians and provides opportunities for discussions about the present economic situation with people in positions of responsibility.
