Antigua and Barbuda has already embarked on the initiative that would allow cruise-loving cricket fans the opportunity to see the CWC semifinals in St Lucia for a fraction of the price. Cruise fares for Cricket World Cup (CWC) have been slashed to a mind-boggling $340 on board the Carnival Destiny.

According to industry sources, the prices range from $170 based on an interior room double occupancy to $505 for a lavish penthouse suite. There is a $40 charge for each additional passenger. The sources said the pricing package would be available to all Barbadians and could be extended beyond World Cup.

In addition to well-appointed rooms, passengers would also enjoy all the amenities of the cruise ship, including cricket matches via satellite and Vegas-style production shows.
