ARTEX’s Cartelera Magazine Turns 33 Years as Promoter of Cuba’s Culture

The Cartelera magazine, published by the ARTEX Ediciones Cubanas agency, is celebrating 33 years. This is a cultural, travel-oriented and commercial monthly publication that puts out the cultural billboard and what’s on of major centers in the nation’s capital as far as cinema, dance, music, performing arts, fine arts and literature are concerned.

Far from getting bogged down, the contents of this bilingual publication have been rejuvenated in an effort to deliver fresher updates to its readers in each issue. One of its main allures is no doubt an up-to-the-minute map of Havana and another one of Varadero, as well as guides of all major museums, nightclubs and other convenient services for travelers visiting the capital.

Cartelerais distributed in all main hotels around the city, outlets run by the Paradiso Cultural Tourism Agency, top cultural institutions, and in national and international events and presentations before specialized news media. In addition, the publication relies on advertisement and subscription services for those interested in advertising their products or getting as many copies as they want throughout the year.

Spaces for ad placing have preferential prices for Cuban cultural institutions and other public bodies on the island, for travel and tourism companies and joint ventures, for artists and self-employed business, and for the diplomatic corps and foreign companies.

To hire any of these services, you may go to the Ediciones Cubanas Agency on 9210 5th Avenue on the corner of 94th Street, Miramar, Playa, Havana, Cuba. You can also send an email to cartelera@edicuba.artex.cuor call (53)7 204 5492/7 204 5493.
