Artex’s Cultural Tourism Agency Paradiso to Attend ITB
Paradiso (www.paradiso.cu), Artex’s cultural tourism agency is going to participate in ITB as part of the Cuban delegation that will represent the island nation at the event to take place on March 4 – 8. Cuba’s booth will be deployed at the fairground’s Pavilion 3.1.
Within the framework of the event, María Caridad Valdés Fernández, Paradiso’s marketing executive of international sales, is going to put on the map the 2015 catalogue of events, academic services, cultural programs and options, 2015 Baila en Cuba(www.bailaencuba.com), “Cuba: History & Tradition” program, Varadero Blue Salsa program and the catalogue of cultural options.
Dance in Cuba (Baila en Cuba), World Meeting of Casino, Salsa Dancers and Dance Academies is set to be held at Havana on November 22 – 27, dedicated to musical gender “Mambo”.
The event, organized by Artex’s Paradiso, is going to celebrate its tenth anniversary this year. Its first edition was carried out back in 2006 and it has followed an annual frequency. It gathers dancers from different countries interested in taking lessons on popular dances and enjoying concerts given by Cuba’s most acclaimed popular music orchestras, where they can practice what they have learned and participate in dancing couples competitions.
Such flagship orchestras as Los Van Van, Adalberto Álvarez y su son, Pupy y los que Son Son, Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco, Yumurí y sus hermanos, David Calzado y su Charanga Habanera, Pachito Alonso y sus Kini Kini, José Luis Cortés (El Tosco) y NG La Banda and Elito Revé y su Charangónwill be playing the leading role in those concerts.
Varadero Blue Salsais scheduled for July 6 - 11, at Varadero’s Complex Resort Barceló Solymar Arenas Blancas Hotel. The event includes workshops on salsa, mambo, chachacha, rumba and son, as well as performances by Cuban popular music orchestras.
