Artex’s Paradiso: Official Agency for the 21st International Meeting of Ballet Academies

Artex’s Paradiso (www.paradiso.cu), a promoter of cultural tourism in Cuba, is the official agency for the 21st International Meeting of Ballet Academies to take place in Havana on March 28-April 11.

The meeting, which fosters the exchange between students and professionals of this artistic discipline, targets professors, dancers, choreographers and students interested in dance and Cuba’s technique and methodology to teach ballet.

Having the halls of the National Ballet School and main theaters at the Cuban capital city as venues, the event will be an opportunity to get in touch with the contributions of the Cuban Ballet School when it comes to teaching this artistic expression. The artistic galas are going to be a platform to showcase the level reached by the new generation of dancers that study in Cuba and the rest of the participating countries.

Paradiso agency will be providing a wide range of services for attendees and their companions so they can enjoy the meeting: accommodation, transfers to the activities and even dinner, if they ask for it.

Furthermore, Paradiso gives the possibility to participate in different optional workshops headed by outstanding professors in each discipline: choreographic workshop, dance technique, performance, folklore, workshop on music aimed at therapeutic body work applied to ballet, Spanish dance, physical training and makeup.

Representatives from Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Italia, Peru, United States, Panama, Cuba, among other countries, have already confirmed their attendance to the event.

Shortly before the event, Havana is going to host the 13th International Contest for Young Ballet Students, March 7 - 11. The competition will be dedicated to the centennial of the birth of master of masters Fernando Alonso and the 21st anniversary of the International Meeting of Ballet Academies.  

With both events, Artex’s Paradiso tries to promote and highlight one of the highest values of Cuban culture: Ballet.
