August Gambling Revenue Falls 8 Percent for Nevada Casinos
Nevada casinos compiled $934.1 million in gambling revenue for the month of August, an 8.1 percent decrease from the previous August, according to statistics from the state’s Gaming Control Board.
Gambling revenue on the Las Vegas Strip was down 7.4 percent, to $494 million. On the Boulder Strip just outside Las Vegas, where several local casinos are located, gambling revenue was down 22.4 percent, to $52.2 million.
Nevada has seen a year-over-year decrease in gambling revenue for eight straight months.
