Avalon Waterways Offering Themed Cruises

Avalon Waterways, a division of Globus family brands, has announced new wine- and music-themed cruises, as the river cruise operator looks to further corner the up-and-coming niche market.

Globus previously launched religious-themed vacations and just last month unveiled a Beatles-themed Rock ‘n Roll vacation. Avalon’s 11-day wine cruise, dubbed the Legendary Danube vacation, will journey from Prague to Budapest, and feature wine tasting sessions along the way.

There are two departure dates, November 1 and 8, with prices starting at $1,849. Conversely, the Magnificent Europe music-themed cruise, departing November 4, will sail along the Danube and Rhine rivers from Amsterdam to Vienna and offer on- and off-board concerts along the way.
