Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort & Spa announced that all guests remained safely on the resort property during the passing of Hurricane Hanna. “We are happy to report that all guests are well, safe and comfortable,” said Kevin Froemming, president of Unique Vacations Inc., the worldwide representatives for Beaches Resorts. “There is however, heavy debris throughout the property as a result of the storm and so, for the safety of our guests, Beaches Turks & Caicos will be closed until Sept. 26.”

Passengers scheduled to travel to Beaches Turks & Caicos while the resort remains closed are given the option of relocating to one of the three Beaches Resorts in Jamaica or provided with a fall travel credit which entitles guests to return to Beaches Turks & Caicos later this fall through Dec. 20, 2008, or next fall from Sept. 1, 2009, to Dec. 20, 2009.

Certain restrictions and black-out dates apply. While Providenciales International Airport has not reopened as of Wednesday, Beaches Resorts is monitoring the status of the airport and flights. Multiple airlines have enacted policies for guests to change their reservations without penalty.

As a courtesy and in recognition of this inconvenience caused as a result of Hurricane Hanna to Beaches Resorts customers, all guests who are still unavoidably detained in Turks & Caicos as a result of the airport closure and flight cancellations will be able to extend their stay on complimentary basis until they are able to depart.
