Broadway.com Offers App to Purchase Theater Tickets
Broadway.com/Groups, a major source for group theater ticket sales and Broadway experiences, introduces a new, free interactive application that allows travel buyers to promote and sell the most popular Broadway shows directly on their own website.
Tailored for tour operators, travel agents, group organizers, meeting planners and corporate travel managers, the new Group Sales Widget is available in two easy-to-use versions and can be downloaded directly at www.broadway.com/groups/widget.
The two versions -- one for those who package shows with other tour components and one for those who prefer to have their clients book directly at Broadway.com/Groups -- allow users to view video footage and production photos, and browse show descriptions, age appropriateness and group minimums. Users simply copy and paste the HTML code onto their website.
The first Group Sales Widget from Broadway.com/Groups, which can be branded with a company’s logo, is designed for travel and tour operators who package Broadway shows with other tour components. It does not include pricing. The second widget is designed for companies or organizations that want to promote Broadway, but prefer not to be involved in the booking process.
Pricing is displayed in this widget and companies and organizations using this widget are eligible for a commission rebate for each group sold. The show information on both widgets will automatically be updated to always reflect current news, cast changes, new videos and more.
The Group Sales Widget currently features 15 of Broadway’s hottest shows -- “Billy Elliot,” “Chicago,” “Come Fly Away,” “In the Heights,” “Jersey Boys,” “La Cage Aux Folles,” “Mamma Mia!,” “Mary Poppins,” “Memphis,” “Promises, Promises,” “Rock of Ages,” “The Addams Family,” “The Lion King,” “The Phantom of the Opera” and “West Side Story.”
