Carlson Wagonlit Acquires Spanish Travel Agency
Travel management firm Carlson Wagonlit Travel has purchased Viajes Lepanto, a Spanish travel agency that manages business travel and meetings. Carlson Wagonlit said it now has nearly 170 locations in Spain.
Viajes Lepanto’s annual gross sales volume is $22 million. It has eight locations throughout Spain. Viajes Lepanto General Manager Javier Cabello will continue in his role, reporting directly to Marino Faccini, Carlson Wagonlit’s executive vice president for Spain, Mediterranean and Latin America.
“The acquisition of Viajes Lepanto, like that of Viajes MAPFRE in the first quarter of this year, reflects the importance of strategic acquisitions in our development plan here in Spain and on a global level,” Faccini said.
