Carnival Splendor Open for Reservations

Set to debut from London in July 2008, Carnival Cruise Lines is now accepting reservations for its new 113,300-ton Carnival Splendor, whose inaugural 2008 season will include the line’s first 12-day Northern Europe program.

Also on the list are a 16-day, trans-Atlantic crossing and a weeklong exotic Eastern Caribbean voyage. The 3,006-passenger super liner will offer several facilities, including a 21,000-square-foot health and fitness center that will feature Carnival’s first seawater therapy pool and thermal suite.

Other firsts for the line are 68 spacious spa stateroom sand suites. Other highlights include a 5,500-square-foot children’s play area-the largest in the Carnival fleet-along with expanded sports and recreation facilities. Carnival Splendor’s inaugural season will start with a series of 12-day Northern Europe cruises operating roundtrip from Dover, England, July 13 through August 20, 2008.
