Carnival Turns Out Big Winner in Porthole Magazine´s Readers Choice Awards
Carnival Cruise Lines took the lion´s share of the latest Porthole Magazine´s “Readers Choice Awards”, grabbing more prizes than any other cruise line for the seventh straight year.
This time around, Carnival took top honors in eleven different categories, with recognition in areas as diverse as Best Children´s Program and Best Computer Facilities to Best Entertainment and Best Caribbean Itineraries.
“Over the past few years, we´ve dedicated significant resources to enhance virtually every aspect of the ´Fun Ship´ vacation experience. The breadth and scope of these awards speaks volumes about our efforts in providing guests with the widest variety of options at sea,” said Bob Dickinson, Carnival president and CEO.
Carnival has 21 “Fun Ships” operating voyages to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, New England, Bermuda and Europe.
The line will continue to expand with the launch of the 110,000-ton Carnival Freedom, set to debut in February 2007, and as-yet-unnamed 112,000-ton vessel, scheduled to enter service in spring 2008.
