Cruise Companies Showed Offers at Industry Fair in Malaga
The fourth edition of the International Cruise Fair held over the weekend in Malaga gathered the industry´s main companies -23 in all- that sell their products in Spain.
The event took place at the AC Malaga Hotel –sponsored by Marina Sun Travel, a Spanish cruise company- and unfolded before the official kickoff of this year´s cruise season, giving these firms the possibility of flaunting their roots.
Some of the companies present at the tradeshow were Carnival, Costa Cruises, Cunard, Celebrity Cruises, Crystal Cruises, Fred. Holsen Cruises Lines, Holland America Line and Iberrail.
At the same time, Transcantabrico & Al-Andalus, Hurtighrutem (Cruceros por Fiordos), Louis Cruises Lines, MSC Cruceros, Norwegian Cruises Line, Oceania Cruises and Princess Cruises, among other lines, were also there.
Spain, Europe´s fifth largest cruise outbound market, moved 130,000 passengers in the course of 2004 to a number of destinations. That figure is expected to ramp up in 2005 as fares go down and companies add more vessels to their fleets.
