Dominica Keen on Cleaning Up Following Hurricane Maria

Only three months after the devastation of Hurricane Maria, Dominica is showing signs of recovery and the revival of its nature.

To highlight this, the Discover Dominica Authority has launched a social media and digital awareness campaign targeted at Dominica’s key markets of the UK, US, Canada, France, Germany and the Caribbean.

The campaign highlights the attributes of the Nature Island that resonate with the true adventurer, the health and wellness fanatic, the underwater lover and of course the individual enchanted by the people and communities of Dominica.

With work ongoing at restoring the numerous sites that the island is known for, including the Emerald Pool, Milton Falls, Botanical Gardens, Trafalgar Falls to name a few, along with private sector partners ensuring that the product of hike, dive and culture is “ready-set-go” for early 2018, the DDA is actively promoting various voluntourism packages that appeal to nature lovers in building back Dominica!

It is expected that the campaign buzz will increase the presence of the destination throughout the source markets and drive conversations about the Nature Island, Dominica which would lead to increased visitation to its shores.
