The Dominican National Hotel and Restaurant Association (ASONAHORES) and Tourism Promotion Council (CPT) have announced the official dates and locations for Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE) 2005. This year´s event is scheduled for April 6 to 8.

We are pleased to have the opportunity to participate in this event, as it serves as a catalyst for successful business ventures among the trades, said Mr. Enrique De Marchena Kaluche, president of ASONAHORES.

DATE serves as a networking platform for both buyers and sellers to meet and contract to increase visitor arrivals and revenue in Dominican Republic. Its appointment-based format enables participants to maximize their time together.

International wholesalers, tour operators, travel agents, incentive houses, airlines, charter operators and hotel suppliers participate in the event each year. In 2004, more than 350 buyers and sellers participated in the annual event.

Additionally, media representatives from leading publications have the opportunity to interact with both buyers and suppliers, providing a welcome venue to launch advertising initiatives. DATE organizers are working with the Caribbean Hotel Association to pre-schedule all meetings for delegates in advance of the tradeshow, in order to maximize everyone´s valuable time.

The synergy is there amongst our hotel and industry partners as well as our sponsors. We expect to build substantial momentum for a productive DATE 2005, Mr. Johnny Bernal concluded.
