Eastern Folkloric Ballet to Attend FIDANZ 2015

The Eastern Folkloric Ballet has prepared an exquisite repertoire to participate in this year’s edition of the Dance Fiesta.

FIDANZ, as it’s called, is going to take place in Santiago de Cuba on April 25 - 29. The Eastern Folkloric Ballet also announced that it prepared the premiere of "Cimarron", a piece made up of complex choreographies and the history of the Afro-Haitian presence in Cuba.

Students from Switzerland and Germany have already exchanged experiences by means of this program. But this company is not only about performances and workshops; its members will be participating in the ninth edition of FIDANZ.

The Dance Fiesta is going to be attended by folkloric companies from the whole country and the United States. The Eastern Folkloric Ballet will be putting on stage choreographic pieces "Mani" and "Biché", as well as fragments of "El Nacimiento de Ogún Balenyó". "Tempo Nagó" was chosen for the competition of the First Choreography and Performance Contest to be carried out in this event.
