The Eclipse Provides Amazing Cruises to the Galapagos Islands
The islands of the Galapagos offer an opportunity to interact with the natural world to a degree that´s virtually impossible anywhere else. Swim and snorkel with sea lions and turtles. Stroll past colonies of penguins and blue-footed boobies.
Explore these magical islands in unparalleled comfort and safety aboard Eclipse, completely rebuilt in 1999 to Abercrombie & Kent´s exacting standards. Large enough to travel the Pacific in comfort and safety, she is the perfect size for a voyage of discovery in these islands.
Most Galapagos ships her size carry 80 to 100 passengers; ‘Eclipse,´ however, hosts a maximum of 48 guests in 27 spacious, air-conditioned cabins, all with outside views.
The dining room, lined with picture windows, can seat everyone at once and extends to the Observation Deck for al fresco dining and stargazing under the southern skies. The lounge has plenty of seating, perfect for an informal talk by one of the experienced naturalists.
A fleet of inflatable pangas –rubber boats that are quick to launch, stable and able to land almost anywhere- make even the smallest islands and their extraordinary wildlife accessible. Easy walks and more challenging hikes are led by expert guides with Level III certification. Snorkeling equipment and kayaks are available for those who want to explore on their own.
