IgoUgo Relaunches Website with More Social Connectivity
IgoUgo.com has relaunched its website to put more focus on making trip planning and sharing a social networking experience. The site, which has 540,000 members sharing experiences from more than 9,000 travel destinations and more than 1 million travel reviews and listings, has been rebuilt to simplify planning and sharing. “We wanted the site experience to better reflect that IgoUgo is a great community of expert travelers who have been where you want to go, and who are sharing positive advice for your trips,” said Aditi Gokhale, IgoUgo general manager.
IgoUgo’s new social connectivity features include an I’ve Been Here tool that makes it easier to share trip information from journals to reviews and travel photos on Twitter and Facebook. Additional changes include the Get Ideas from Other Travelers feature which includes recent reviews and tips; while the easily-accessible member profiles allow users to quickly identify like-minded travelers and find tips and advice for planning trips. While other travel sites focus on where not to go, IgoUgo has been re-engineered to inspire travel.
Other IgoUgo site features include a popular hotel and flight comparison tool that allows users to find the cheapest rates across major online travel agencies, hundreds of thousands of hotel reviews, a collection of 500,000 original member travel photos and a daily travel blog.
