More buyers and more exhibitors will be the defining characteristics of the forthcoming Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings and Events, IMEX 2005, next April. Strong demand from both existing and new exhibitors has led to a forecast 15 percent increase in size.

Organizers of the event, to be held at Messe Frankfurt´s largest single floor hall, are expecting over 2,500 exhibitors representing 130 countries. The third IMEX is gearing up to be the biggest and busiest yet; with positive industry forecasts underpinning a show that delivers business, said Ray Bloom, IMEX Chairman.

The IMEX hosted buyer program is on target to be the largest yet with 3,000 carefully qualified decision-makers from over 50 world markets. 10% of the hosted buyers will represent influential long-haul markets including the USA, Canada, South America, Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

After just two years, IMEX has become the benchmark worldwide exhibition of the meetings and incentive travel industry. The 2004 show united more than 12,000 industry professionals including 2,500 exhibitors from over 130 countries representing national and regional tourist offices, major hotel groups, airlines, destination management companies, service providers and trade associations.
