Indonesia Named ITB Official Partner Country for 2013

In 2013, Indonesia will be the official partner country of ITB Berlin. Sapta Nirwandar, director general of tourism marketing of the Ministry for Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, and Martin Buck, vice president of the Competence Center Travel & Logistics, signed the preliminary agreement.

Indonesia is the biggest archipelago country in the world. It is rich with long history, cultures and heritage. At ITB Berlin 2011, Indonesia was represented with a two-tier stand. The campaign promoting “Wonderful Indonesia“ reflects the wide range of tourism products on offer, which in 2010 attracted 7 million visitors to the country.

ITB Berlin 2012 will be taking place from Wednesday, March 7, to Sunday, March 11, and from Wednesday to Friday will be open to trade visitors only. Parallel with the trade show will be the ITB Berlin Convention, the largest travel industry event of its kind in the world.
