International Launch of Desert Islands First Phase at World Travel Market 2008

Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), a master developer of major cultural, residential and tourism destinations in Abu Dhabi, is launching first phase of the Desert Islands, the region’s first-of-its-kind, nature-based tourism destination, internationally at World Travel Market 2008 (WTM) in London.

“Desert Islands will take advantage of the global presence to formally launch the destination to the international market. Desert Islands aims to attract visitors from all over the world and our participation in WTM 2008 will offer us an immediate access to the industry professionals,” Lee Tabler, CEO, TDIC, explained.

Considered as one of Sheikh Zayed’s greatest legacies, the island’s wildlife reserve was created more than 25 years ago to ensure the survival of Arabia’s endangered species.
