Simonet founded his band in 1993 and it’s presently described as one of the best and most acclaimed representatives of Cuban popular music, as it mixes traditional Cuban music and contemporary sounds. Back in 2014, the album of Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco, entitled Sin frenos and produced by Artex’s record company Bis Music, was statistically one of the top five in terms of sales by means of digital marketing platforms. This album is available on Cubamusic, the online store specialized on Cuban music.
