Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor, a Cuban popular music group included on the catalogue of Musicalia, Artex’s artistic representation agency, is performing in several Venezuelan stages as part of a tour that began on April 25 and will come to an end in early May.

The first performance took place at Grand Versalles Hall, Barquisimeto, on April 25. They were at the same state on the 26th, in the matinee of El Tiuna Bar. The group is scheduled to be in Valencia, Carabobo, on the 30th. On May 1st Maykel Blanco y su grupo are going to travel to Maracay and they will be sharing their music with the public in Caracas on May 2-3. Chacao’s Luxor will be the stage on May 2 and Hipocampo discotheque on the 3rd.

In March, Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor launched in Cuba the group’s latest audiovisual production entitled “Closing Lines (Cerrando filas)”, on the concert held on October 11, 2014, so as to celebrate its tenth anniversary.

The DVD was later released on European stages, during a tour finished in early April, which included countries like Spain, Denmark, Belgium, France, Germany and Italy, with the participation in important Latin music festivals.

The group is now going to premiere in Venezuela such songs as La Calle está Caliente, El Negocio, Popurrit, Mi Mulata en La Habana, which have been authored by Blanco and are included on his Cerrando filas DVD.

One of the group’s recent hits, Bembé, is available on Youtube through the official channel of MusicaliaAgency. It’s based on a live performance in Milan, Italy, in 2014.

In South America and Cuba “Cerrando filas” is going to be marketed by Artex’s record company Bis Music. As for the rest of the world and internet, Planet Records is in charge of its distribution.
