NCL Announces Caribbean Itineraries from New York for 2008, 2009
NCL Corporation today introduced its 2008/09 Caribbean sailings from New York, which include Norwegian Gem, its newest ship, sailing from New York through the winter, along with Norwegian Spirit offering alternating six-day Bahamas and Florida cruises and eight-day Eastern Caribbean voyages. Caribbean itineraries from New York are on sale now.
As previously announced, Norwegian Gem begins 2008 by sailing four 10- and 11-day Exotic Southern Caribbean sailings from New York. The 10-day cruise features St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; St. John’s, Antigua; Bridgetown, Barbados; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; and Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
The 11-day includes stops in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; St. John’s, Antigua; Bridgetown, Barbados; St. Georges, Grenada; Roseau, Dominica; and Tortola, British Virgin Islands. From mid-February to mid-April 2008, the ship will sail nine seven-day Bahamas and Florida cruises with stops in Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida; Great Stirrup Cay; and Key West, Florida.
Norwegian Gem returns to New York on November 29, 2008 for the winter and continues to sail a mix of the seven-day Bahamas and Florida cruises, along with the 10-day Exotic Southern Caribbean sailings through April 11, 2009.
Norwegian Spirit returns to New York from New Orleans in mid April 2008 offering alternating eight-day Eastern Caribbean sailings departing on Saturdays and six-day Bahamas and Florida sailings departing on Sundays through August 31, 2008.
The Eastern Caribbean itinerary includes an overnight in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; and stops in Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Samana, Dominican Republic. The six-day Bahamas and Florida includes a stop in Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida; Nassau, Bahamas; and an overnight at Great Stirrup Cay.
From September 6 through October 12, 2008, Norwegian Spirit will sail alternating one-night Dinner and Dance cruises and six-day Canada and New England voyages. On its return to New Orleans, the ship will sail a unique 13-day Circle the Caribbean repositioning cruise from New York to New Orleans on October 18, 2008 with stops in Samana, Dominican Republic; St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curacao; Belize City, Belize; Roatán, Bay Islands, Honduras; and Cozumel, Mexico.
