Nevis Tourism Authority Officials Complete Successful Week in the UK

Nevis Tourism officials have successfully concluded a week-long promotional drive in the UK to cement existing partnerships and form new relationships within the travel industry and media. The visit was designed to continue raising the profile of the destination amongst the UK travel industry to help drive visitors in 2015 and beyond.

Led by Minister of Tourism, The Honorable Mark Brantley, Nevis was also represented by Chief Executive Officer or the NTA, Greg Phillip and Julie Claxton, the NTA’s UK & European Manager.

The week’s events included Unite Caribbean, providing an opportunity to build business with multiple tour operators, sales calls with relevant travel agents and tour operators and concluded with a breakfast with key media across travel, trade, sporting and lifestyle publications.

The Minister also met with select media for one-to-one meetings, including editors from BA Highlife magazine and Condé Nast Traveller, to help generate further positive press for Nevis.

Audiences at all of the events were provided with a full update on the destination and the tourism product on offer. All were attentive and interested in the destination and are keen and excited to continue working with the tourism authority to spread the word about Nevis to the UK travel market.

The week demonstrated the continuation of the growing relationship between Nevis and the UK - a key market for the island’s tourism industry. The trip was supported by hotel partners Montpelier Plantation & Beach, Oualie Beach Resort, Four Seasons Resort Nevis and Nisbet Plantation & Beach.
