Puerto Costa Maya Welcomes Pullmantur’s Pacific Dream

Puerto Costa Maya this week received Pullmantur’s Pacific Dream, marking the first time the cruise line called at the Mexican Caribbean port.

The vessel brought 1,065 passengers during the inaugural call. Costa Maya is included on the Pacific Dream’s “Mayan Caribbean” itinerary.

In 2010, new facilities will enhance the dining and entertainment offerings at Costa Maya. The Hard Rock Café, to be located less than 1,000 feet from the port’s main complex, will open this spring. The port also will add a Mayan Museum this year. These new facilities will be open in time to receive the Royal Caribbean International’s 225,000-ton Oasis of the Seas. Costa Maya will be the first Mexican port to receive Oasis.
